Note on Soon Release of Stalingrad Campaign --

The Spwaw game engine has under-went tremendous change over the past few years. The need for an update for the popular Stalingrad Campaign has been long over due. Now it has arrived. To those who have played this campaign before may recognize a few of the battle scenarios in the revised Stalingrad Campaign but beware – none will play the same. The Raider’s and I have added 10 new battles to it, revised the text files to tell the story of Stalingrad, revamped all the older scenarios, corrected oob errors, and to put it another way – this is an entire new campaign unlike the one you have seen before.

Next, Two Top of the Line Scenarios by the Raider’s will be on this month's post at the Arsenal: It is February 1945 in the Rhineland. Operation Veritable is reaching a climax. The Canadian’s are approaching the small hamlet of Schwanenhoff when suddenly the cracks of 88’s are felt in the ranks.

Next, on the Eastern front, during the German retreat before Moscow during the dark cold winter of 1941, a lone German tank leads the way to safety in “Anthony the Last”.

When will this occur?

This should be released Next Week

I am finalizing the Winter Storm battles now and this has caused a minor delay till next week - but it will be worth it ;)

Only if you win the last Winter Storm battle. I may add a breakout scenario battle at a later date but for now - the upgrading to 7.1 and 7.1 oobs - testing - revising has consumed so much time. Let's get this beast out and see what you all think of the BIG changes to it before I attempt a break out battle at a later date:D

You will enjoy it - as it is - that is for sure ;)

How many core build points will we get?

And, any suggestions or recommendations as to what it should, roughly, be composed of?

A suggested core force is in the opening text file. When I played it I started with a platoon of Pz IIIH, Pz IV F2, 1 platoon of engineers, 2 of infantry with supporting mortars, a section of STuG's and a battery of Nebelwerfers, a section of AT Guns, MG 42's, 20mm Flak, 2 snipers and an FO.

By the end of the major battles I had upgraded the mortars to SPW 251/2(From the Czech OOB so they were gray), 2 Nebelwerfers and 2 Wurfrahmen 40's and an ammo truck to support them. I had converted 2 of my tanks to SIG 33's for the city battles and some of my infantry to flamethrower squads. The snipers were converted to mortars.QUOTE]Originally posted by Alexandra

Okay all - I decided to add that link up with Manstein's troops and Paulus's troops in a hypothetical battle for last Winter Storm battle and campaign ending.

So this has delayed to release another day :(

as for core force point purchase - you'll have to wait and see Alex :D

This is going to be good. Bring it on Marauder! I just started the Russian Steel myself so it will be fun playing both sides.
