Random crashes

Before this newest patch (2.0) I didn't have any problems
running UV. But since updating to this new version
I have experienced random, and quite frequent crashes.
I wonder if this version is compatible with old savegames?

Same here. I have played UV for hundreds of hours and was amazed at how stable it seemed. I did not have a single crash. I played v2.0 for the first time last night and it crashed after six turns. I didn't save the error message but I will next time.

I've been playing the game since it was first released and also found it to be one of the most stable programs ever. Until
version 2.0. Now in just the past few days it's locked up on me
several times.
