1st Advanced Economy Guide

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

1st Advanced Economy Guide

Post by pjwheeling »

I am looking to purchase Crown of Glory Emperor's Edition, but I'm afraid to do it for there seems to be no longer any support for the game. I read in the Advanced Advanced Economy Guide that there was an initial Economy Guide, but I don't see it anywhere. Also, I was hoping to read some of the threads for the game, but see that very few remain. I was also hoping to check out some AAR's, but those are no longer here as well. I have also been looking at purchasing Empires in Arms, but am running into the same issues with that game. I have downloaded and read Merat's tutorial as well as Raleigh's tips, but again, there are no threads to look back on or AAR's to study. Can anyone give me some guidance?[:)]

Thanks, Patrick
I cannot help but think that great results would have been obtained had my views been thought better of; yet I am much inclined to accept the present condition as for the best.

Completely understand your frustration with the forum being dead. But I can tell you I play the game regularily vs. the AI. Posted I'm willing to try a PBEM (being a new player wanted one of the smaller less important countries) and heard nothing. Anyway, just wanted to let you know there are people who are at least checking the forum regularily.

In my AI games I've been playing simple econ. I'm struggling learning the econ model but that's okay becaus I'm not moving too fast. I'm confident I'll figure it out someday. I have noticed in simple games if France is AI it has a huge advantage. Every game I've played ... no kidding ... every game, France has won. I've even put them at lower strength levels and it still wins. I usually finish 2nd, even playing Sweden. I have not played any games where I control more than one country against France.

Ok. Setting the Display Topics to All Topics did help. Thank you, Aurelian. [:)] I can at least look at earlier posts and AAR's. But I still do not see the Advanced Economy Guide. Can anyone help on that front? So, Nimrod 9th, you have been unable to get help with the Economy as well. I'm really straddling the fence here. It would help to have access to that Advanced Economy Guide.

Thanks,

Patrick

Floyd,

That is the ADVANCED, Advanced Economy Guide. I have downloaded that and read it, but it is a 2nd level guide.
If a person doesn't understand the Advanced Economy Guide, he will definitely not understand this one.
I'm looking for the initial Guide that was done before this one.
