Submarine Reporter Question

Post by IdahoNYer »

Anyone using submarine reporter? I've got it to work, and am enjoying it as it totals up the sub's efforts against the Japanese shipping and the occasional warship. Two of my subs recently got a result I've never seen before: FR SUNK

Any idea what that is?

What is submarine reporter? Where to get it? Does it require tracker?

Excel based program that tracks each sub's effects - both damaged and sunk over the course of the campaign. Works for either side. Stand alone, doesn't require tracker. You can find it the tech forum - its old, 2011 I think. Couple of beta versions out - I couldn't get the most recent beta to work, but got the second most recent to run.

As a side note I may recommend another WitP AE tool: The AE Adjutant. First "drawback" beforehand: It´s in german language. However, it´s a very nice tool for managing your strategy, and it has a nice reporting section, which includes statistics about sub effectiveness. The software is available here: https://www.google.de/url?sa=t&rct=j&q= ... 7938,d.ZGU

Could never get this submarine reporter to work.

A shame my German is nonexistent... the screenshots look interesting.

Looks like an interesting program. I don't speak German but it is similar enough to English that I can make out much of what it says.
I might end up learning some German too[;)]

Would be nice is someone would translate that into English! I am getting some of it, but the rest is Greek to me! [;)]

I'm not sure I need any more corollary programs. It's Feb. of '43 and tracker takes 15 minutes to load and another 10 to read the turn, meanwhile it eats up all my PC"s capacity so I have to just sit there looking at gornography. I'm going to have to stop sleeping in order to get my turns in.

I started a new version of tracker at the end of 42 and kept the old one for reference. Works much faster. I will probably make a new copy every quarter to keep the load time down.

I just looked for the submarine reporter and came up blank.

Can someone re-post it or share the link? I've been doing manual tracking for over a year and am highly interested!

Here's the link to the sub reporter thread in the tech forum (2011).

Thinking of doing a Sub Reporter type systray app if there's interest in one? Small footprint and hidden in the systray until clicked on when a UI pops up to show stats on friendly subs. I don't play the game any more, so I would probably need someone to mail me some log files for testing purposes. I do have some logic written for log file parsing already as I'm currently doing something similar for WitE.
