Is there the option to play with AI?

I'm really looking for a game that is at the strategic level which either has the entire WW2 in one campaign, or just the Western Front.

The price tag is quite hefty and I am a newcomer to this genre.

I know war in the pacific is out there but it must be the whole world or just the Western Front.

I would probably get this but not if its multiplayer only if there are mods that add ai opponents I could live with that.

Oh and if anybody could suggest another title that fits these criteria I'd be interested to hear.
