CRC Error

Hello.

Last day i must change my OS from XP to Win7 and format my HD.

Re-installed the BASPM.
First base game downloaded, after the 0.75 patch and finally 0.76.
When try to open the game get always same message: CRC Error, please reinstalled game.

What is wrong? I'm missing something?

I have the same issue, I had it before too but I think i ended up installing like 5 patches in a row and it worked.

The problem was missed a patch. When installed the game again with the correct path then works.

What version should I be installing first? I have about 20 versions of BASP downloaded, I installed as follows:

0-7-19
0-7-19-4

I also tried:

0-7-19
0-7-19-2
0-7-19-4

I also tried:

0-7-17
0-7-19
0-7-19-2
0-7-19-4

I had to reinstall because I had crashes everytime it went to the mission control screen for missions.

For me this was the path:

1-Uninstall the game. Open the folder where the game was installed and delete all files and folders that the uninstall program might still left there after having uninstalled the game.
2-Install vanilla game, as buy. I think the version was 0.70.
3-Install the 0.7.15.1 patch.
4-Install the 0.7.17 patch.

After that simply install the next updates when available. Keep in mind had this problem just after the 0.7.17 patch.

Hello guys,

Installing the base game plus the latest patch available on the FTP should work, since the file in the FTP is self-contained (although it requires some things which are only available in the base installer).

Apologies for the inconveniences. Once we introduce PBEM, we'll stop providing patches via the FTP altogether, so that should make things simpler. On top of that, we're planning to remaster the whole installer once we have PBEM and the single player campaign working.

What Nacho suggested worked for me, I think the problem was I wasn't installing the base game again but patches on patches.

So I am on vacation and I want to play the new version on my laptop. How do I do this? My original DL link will not work (it expired). Can I get this from the Matrix site or do I have to request a new link?

Provided that you have registered your game to your Slitherine's account, you should be able to log into Slitherine's page and download the installer from there.

Or you can make helpdesk ticket to Matrix support and they will give you new d/l link too.
