I remember the first time I played The SIms. MY sim got hungry, so I told him to cook some dinner, he torched the kitchen and himself. At that moment I was hooked [:D]

Too bad it's going to be buried in 8000 tons of pay-to-win garbage, being an EA game and whatnot.

It's obvious you've never played this game [8|]...what do you play?

That is correct, but understandable, given that Sims 4 isn't out yet.

I played Sims, Sims 2 and Sims 3, with decreasing enthusiasm. Not my cup of tea; too busy living one life to have time to simulate another.

As for pay-to-win, that's just what EA does these days. Sims 3, Sim City, Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare, Dungeon Keeper Mobile (). Simple fact.

I've played The Sims 3 & SimCity without paying to win, explain to us what you mean by "pay-to-win".

I kind of have to side with Term, except I don't classify it as pay-to-win. The Sims is a poster child example of DLC carried to excess.

It is not pay-to-win [:-]. True, there is alot of DLC but you don't need it to play, in fact all you need is the base game to play. It does come with Expansion Packs and Stuff Packs (when totaled is quite expensive) and most hardcore players do buy these. I think some gamers get upset with all the EP's & SP's (and DLC) because they feel they have to buy them all to really enjoy the game.

The Sims has too many DLC's that are the same as the last version and the last version is not much different than the newer version. They took out the ability for lil sims to make woopee on their own that was in the first game and that love bed made a whole lot of stuff happen. Dancing with another, flirting and stuff caused chaos. They dumbed the other versions down and it became a simulation without life. It would take an awful lot to get me back into the SIM scene again. It was fun when they had a mind all their own but then they took it away and you had to control too much of it.

In the options settings you can set the sims you are playing to "high free will" and watch what they do, they have a mind of their own based on their traits and environment [8D]. They do some good things (they will make woopee) [:)] and some bad (dumb) things [:@]. You can change the setting as many times as you want while you are playing...Ross, looks like you haven't played The Sims in a while and you don't need the DLC's to enjoy the game.

Yes, I know about high free will but they still do not make woopee on their own like in the 1st one. I know they added the love bed back but once again they don't have the high free will like they had in the first one. Also they will not go for their perks or whatever they are called on some of them you have to coax them. Especially if they are to kiss someone or cook something specific for someone. Also stop calling me Ross, only my mother (deceased) could call me Ross because she had the switch. [:D] I've played a lot of the SIMS and I certainly know what I'm talking about.

The current Sims game (Sims 3) has alot of differences from the first Sims game, you can make woopee in beds, photo booths, haystacks...there a a few other places also. I guess I should have said you haven't played much of the Sims 3 game, sorry. I called you by your name to make a friendly gesture to you.

I've played every SIMS game so yes I've seen them all and where woopee is made. You could make woopee in a clothing store in II. But, what I am saying is they don't make woopee on their own in III and I've played 100's of hours and never seen them do it on their own. They might kiss and hold hands but that is it. Also if they have a perk to do something romatic they will not do that either. They might get lucky and cook the right foods or clean a counter or bathtub but they will not make woopee on their own. Else I would have screaming babies all over the place. I have none.

That is interesting because they have made woopee a few times in my gameplay, although no babies were conceived.

Ok what are some of the deviate ways you killed your sims? hehe Usually the pool was my execution chamber, but I started with the closet. If a Sim got pregnant they were sentenced to death. lol (until I found all the option buttons to keep that from happening).

That is probably it to Wing7. Your sims made woopee "outside" of the "main" household which that did happen in my games also. But, I'm saying the ones in the "main" house inside the main house did not make woopee on their own.

I don't kill the sims I play with, I did some experimenting early on but I can't remember. When I play it's for keeps and I want my sims to experience (living) as much of the possibilities that is possible.

Wha? You don't kill your sims? But, that is part of the game finding all the different ways to smoke them. [:D] Now I have to ask are YOU sure you played the game. hehe
