CompID column question

Post by WABAC »

Any special significance or attributes attached to labels in brown and/or italicized in the compid column?

just tried to keep track of the variants of the main SUTypes like APC, TANK, etc.) So no voodoo magic there. This column is what is called from the formation compositions.

I've got a related question, what is the difference between SUType and CompID? And where is each used?

Gen. Freyberg: "Well, if you wave at them they'll usually wave back."

SUtype tells the game engine what kind of unit it is dealing with. Those are hard coded types. The Comp-Id is based off the SUType, but it is used to select units from the formation compositions. Comp-Id can be customized to help refine formation selections.

Cool. Thanks. I was wondering what one was customizable.
