It's not often that you have the chance to visually observe MLU/refit improvements, particularly on Russian hardware.

Man, that's an intel treasure trove.... "and btw, here's exactly what to listen for, when our Delta refits are on patrol."

Crap - the pics don't show for me. Maybe the Russki's zapped em?! I bet its that Snowden guy helping them out - Putin doesn't give free room and board!

Actually, maybe I'm not joking. Uploads.ru is being blocked by someone.

There is a tv show on FX called "The Americans". Which is about KGB spies in the US during the 80's. One of the plots this season was how they stole plans of "advanced sub screws". One of the only shows on that I'll watch.

Reminded me of that. Anyway, great pics

Hmmm...wasn't it Toshiba that sold Soviets advanced machinery to make better screws? USA was NOT happy.

Yeah, you're right

This is an action/drama/suspense show, not the history channel.

Of course because the on the history channel it would have to be about the monster trucks, modern gold mining or dumpster-diving for other people's trash.

Indeed. Or Ancient Aliens...

Just that the post about the show brought to my mind actual history. I think there was big sentiment to even boycott Japanese goods because of it. It gave Soviets good leap in sub technology and made their subs lot harder to detect.

You are referring to the Toshiba-Kongsberg scandal of the late 80's. And yes, there were boycotts.
