Patching out Flash?

Post by RyanCrierie »

Recently, I tried installing FOF onto a new laptop. Said laptop refused to play FOF. I zeroed in on the intro menu's use of flash as the culprit.

Given that Flash is on it's way out in the computing world (Flash along with Java are the two things I refuse to install on new computers due to security vulnerabilities); is there any possibility of a small patch for FOF to remove the flash-animated menu screen animation in the same way that Close Combat - Cross of Iron's v3.61 Update removed a lot of Java based stuff for head to head management since it was no longer being supported.

Can you read there and see if it solves your problem:

I've recently reinstalled FoF on a new 64bit Windows 7
and followed the instructions of my post there.

RyanCrierie,
I apologize for not seeing your post earlier -- it's been a busy month, so I've been on the forums less. If this is still an issue for you please let me know and I will ask our programmer about it.
