slow dialog drawing issue

Hello,

I've recently purchased this game, however I'm experiencing really slow drawing of the game dialogs. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for the dialog to completely materialize. This makes the game pretty much unplayable. To illustrate I shot the following video (this is just after loading the introduction scenario):

Any ideas what might be causing this? I'm running dual screens (1680x1050 and 1920x1080). I've tried running on a single one but it does not seem to make any difference. I've installed the latest video card driver.

This is improved in the next update (1.9.5.3)

With those system specs though you are chewing a lot of memory for the video display (1791Mb shared), but only have 4Gb physical RAM. So this isn't going to help - you may be even seeing some HD paging (swapping).

Hi Elliot,

after getting similar results with the new update (and finding out that the game is running fine on my low spec laptop) I decided to dig a little deeper and found out I was infected with a trojan that was stealing gpu resources, apparently for bitcoin mining purposes. Perhaps that also explains the excessive video memory usage. It has been removed and the game is running smoothly now. Sorry for the noise.
