Nice use of an old engine!

Close Combat: Gateway to Caen is the latest release in the critically-acclaimed Close Combat series and focuses on the largest, concentrated British offensive since the Normandy landings in an attempt to penetrate the German lines west of Caen and cross the Odon River to get the stalled advance moving again.

I remember playing CC2 and 3 years back and Operation Epsom interests me enough to try this version of CC out. So far it is highly enjoyable (18:00 on day 1, playing the allies) and the AI is doing OK in defense.

Just thought I'd give some positive feedback!

Great to hear you're enjoying the game!

Have you tried to play online so far? there's a large number of opponents within the steam 'Gateway to Caen' group.
