Influence Bubble off center.
The influence bubbles are not positioned around the related colony and appear as off center. A new colony with a very small bubble will appear to have no bubble, with a bubble some ways away in the middle of nowhere.

Still waiting for a reply on this.
RE: Influence Bubble off center.
I have not noticed this. A screenshot and savegame is probably useful if you want this looked at.

I saw this happen in the first version of Star Trek Universe mod, it was something gyrospeck fixed in his next release. Have you changed something in your files to do with the influence image?

The only thing i've done with influence is increase the range to max in the game creation screen. I'll post screens next time i play, idk why i didn't think to do it before

Sorry for the delay, here is a screenshot of the issue i mentioned. You'll see that the bubble is to the south of the related colony at game start. This is taken at prewarp with colony influence set to 2OO%.
If i load a non prewarp game the issue is less visible, with the bubble only being slightly off center from the colony.

To be sure that this wasn't caused by my influence setting, i created another game with it at 1OO% and the same issue occurred as shown.

RE: Influence Bubble off center.
I see you're using Das ChromeUI, any other mods in there? Is it a theme or base game files? Not sure how gyrospeck fixed it but I think it's possible something has interfered with the systeminfluence.png in images/effects/systeminfluence do you have a backup of your game files so you can see if it's still offset if you play vanilla? You could PM gyro and see if he has a better clue.

Playing with Vanilla files produces the same issue.

Hi Unforeseen
Can you please upload a savegame showing this, and any mod/theme you were using when this happened.
Thanks
Elliot

I'll get a save game uploaded after work!, for now the theme is in my signature. I haven't made any changes to the files in the actual game folders. I have attempted this after disabling DWOM and it still happens as shown in the second picture. Thanks for replying elliot!

Attempted a game with 1.9.5.4, experiencing none of the bugs people have been reported..? However i am still having this issue. Only thing noteworthy in this game start was that the bubble was quite a bit closer to the starsystem this time.

RE: Influence Bubble off center.
When you say you experience none of the 1.9.5.4 issues are you saying that:
A.) You have none of those issues when playing vanilla or,
B.) That you updated your mod using the 1.9.5.4 files, the only changed files would be in Haree78's latest 1.0.3 Extended as far as I can tell.. and are not seeing the issues or,
C.) Are you using the same mod files as written in your mod post, Extended 1.0.1 that would be from an earlier version and haven't been changed with the patch thereby not having the issues related to new design sizes and such?
Gonna have to be specific when dissecting bugs if you regularly use a mod, especially a compilation mod which will require updating at various intervals as various authors release different versions at different times.
Have you tried backing up your mod, and uninstalling/reinstalling the game? Heh.. best fix for everything.
In answer to your post I've never seen this issue before without a mod causing it, no.

RE: Influence Bubble off center.
I haven't reinstalled the game, never thought of it. LOL, shoulda tried that first thing. The bug isn't being caused by any modding issues though, because 1. I've made no changes at all to the files in the base game. Everything I've done is via the theme folder. 2. I've tested this with the mod disabled, and it still did it.
This also occurred before i actually made changes to the game. It first occurred when i updated versions, it was either .1 or .2 that ultimately caused the issue.
As far as the other bugs, i was mistaken.
Edit: I'm going to reinstall and go through the process again. I'll Install, test. Patch test. Mod test. Will update thread with results.

RE: Influence Bubble off center.
Test Results:
Initial Reinstall 1.9.5.O seems to fix the problem. However the influence bubble IS off center. But it may have always been like this idk.
Installed Patch 1.9.5.4 still fixed. Still off center.
Installed my overhaul mod[that has slight differences from the mod that is in my signature because it is the version i can't release that includes Locarnus' balance mod, it also includes Haree's pirate images. There is also slight changes to the components.txt which i put off [again] uploading because of the upcoming patch. The result is...no change.
A thought occurred to me however, i did change the backdrop in the vanilla files to the one titled "old". So i tested that to be safe..the problem is back. Apparently when switching back drops, the influence bubble shows up in the wrong place. Or at least this is so with that particular backdrop. I would also like to point out that when originally had made this change in backdrops it was in my theme folder as part of my mod. When i updated with the patch, the backdrop quit being visible and just a black abyss.

RE: Influence Bubble off center.
Ha! I was able to reproduce it by using the galaxy_backdrop_OLD2. I wonder now if this isn't a result of that image scaling issue that Astrocat keeps talking about. Maybe when it's being placed in the same location as the colony it looks off because the background is scaled differently than the newer one? The old backdrops are a different size.
RE: Influence Bubble off center.
hehe... yep same prob here, and yep could be related to that scaling issue.
