highlighting caslon freighters

Is it possible to highlight all of my freighters carrying a certain commodity (i.e. caslon)? You know, like what happens when you have a base selected, all the freighters heading there turn red.

how would this do anything other than show where the freighters are? it wont speed the transport up, there is already a in-transit tab in the expansion planner. this imo is not needed.

I think that is exactly what he wants to do. Keep track of various commodities on freighters so he can see where they go or come in from. If I was short on a resource I'd like the option to track that particular resource on my freighters as well. Basically get a feel of where that source is coming in from or going off to. Like the idea,just don't know how to implement it as desired.

I think you could highlight or color all freighters of a certain type:small,medium or large.but not by what they are hauling. You'd add a color to that particular races small,medium or large type of freighter.

The "in transit" number in the expansion planner could be made into a clickable link, which closes the window and highlights the relevant freighters.

That seems like a reasonable approach. To simplify it further, the need for a new "highlight" mode could be eliminated by having it so that clicking that link could just select all the relevant freighters as a means of highlighting them.
