Black Screen on Load with 0.7.19.4

I'm running Windows 8. Just updated to 0.7.19.4 from 0.7.18 I get a black screen on start up-no text, no images. The game doesn't seem to lock up-It just appears to not load, and the black screen doesn't change. Occurs regardless of whether the game is set to windowed, and irrespective of resolution.

I just tried the game with compatibility for Windows 7 and running as administrator, with the same results, i.e., a black start up screen and no indication the game is actually running.

That's really weird. Can you send me the log_output.txt file located in your data folder?

Works fine with me in Win 7, but then, I did full re-install before applying latest patch.

It seems to be working fine now. Must be gremlins...
