Players Manual Flaw

Post by Platon »

The example for Submarine Combat in the RAC Manual (p. 60-61) makes no sense to me:
1. ASW calculation: "... 10/5 for the conovoys ..." ???
2. There is no damage rolling against convoys, as done in the example, in MWIF as far as I understand rules deviations.

with kind regards
And it is also my belief that there has to be CAP for the active player during Ground Support.

This is a left over, from pre-SiF WiF, when all convoys came in groups of five. Be thankful you aren't using those rules.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

I am, as I played the board game version with these once. Still the text of the example is a flaw and should be corrected.

I made as few changes as possible to RAW when transforming it into RAC. In this case I erred in not making a change to reflect that SiF is integrated into MWIF (i.e., not optional).[:@]

There are a few others as well. There's a funny one about motorized movement rates. But the manuals can't really be corrected at this point. I suppose the PDF files could be updated and if there is ever another print run done (seems doubtful) those could be fixed.

And also in PM.Vol.2 under 9.7.1. (p. 175) it states: "... See Section 8.7.2.5. ..."
It should read: "... See Section 8.7.2.57 ..."

Well I suppose an Erratum somewhere, somehow (textfile, PDF, printed leaflet, etc.) should be manageable.
