[FIXED B639] B553 - contact outside its own uncertainity zone

Post by hb921 »

Happens form time to time. In attached save look west of Icelan. There are two subs. One is Alfa, for which everything is fine. Second one is Yankee II, which happened to have symbol outside uncertainity zone. A bit confusing in some circumstances, but of rather low impact on playability.

There are valid reasons for having a symbol outside of the uncertainty zone, even on real life systems. The most obvious one, although not the most common, is if it does not fit (the symbol) in the uncertainty zone without undo clutter.

Good point. But not explaining this case - this one is quite big - Alfa with much smaller zone is in its zone.

And, buy the way, try to zoom just on Yankee II icon, to have camera below 20,000 m, and see effect.

Thanks, will put it on the to-do list. We're about to take a much-needed summer holiday though, and since its not critical we'll look at it a bit later. Hope that's ok.

Nope, summer means rain, rain, more rain, plus the occational hailstorm instead of snow [8D]

Hahaha!

That's why we go south to rape and pillage every summer!

Cheers,

Thanks, sure it is ok. It is definitely very low priority issue.
