Mosul oil not coming to France

Post by Mayhemizer_slith »

Dear veterans, I come with another question:

Why oil from Mosul is not coming to France? Can't save it or use it for production. Can't save it to Syria either. There are enough CP's available. Does the weather (snow) has something to with it?

If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

I come back one more time with this question.

After reload oil is going to France normally, as long as CW does not transport resource from Cyprus to England. How can that effect to France? Is this a bug?

It is likely that one or more of the CPs are being "hijacked" by the CW via the Compute coding currently in Production Planning. To fix it (if possible) you need to specify the routing of the various resources/oil affected by setting Defaults, routes, Overrides, etc. when you do Production Panning.

The bit about not saving it to Syria is strange, unless you are in final production planning.

For some reason, which resources are traded and where they are going is fixed at the start of final production planning. Thus if the Iraqi oil is going to France and you want it to go to Syria instead, change it before final production planning. I find it useful to check all trades during the return to base step for each side, particularly the Allies. (Axis trading doesn't usually involve convoys).

If you are before the final production planning step, and can't send the Iraqi oil to Syria, there is a bug, and the game should be posted to this forum. If you are in the final production planning step, the game is WAD; it is just a very annoying "D".
I thought I knew how to play this game....
