Can't find TRN files for PBEM

Can't find TRN files for PBEM

I have the STEAM version of the game, 1.04 beta.

IF I read the manual correctly, when I create a new game, a save folder in supposed to spawn with 2 .trn files: one for the USA and one for the CSA. However, when I start a new game, and give no orders apart from saving the game, two files spawn in the save folder: one .hst file, and one .ord file. There are no .trn files that I can find. In addition, neither of these files seems to be compressed, even though I selected the "compress" option in the menu.

I am quite confused. What should I do?
