sluggish performance and partial video

My PBEM opponent and I have noticed the same thing with the unsecured game we have been playing. When moving the cursor over the battlefield map, movement is slow and halting. Also, when clicking on a unit, there is frequently a distinct pause before the unit menu comes up, or the unit moves, etc.

We also see only one or two shots fired by the opponent in the video replay. No arty, airstrikes or tank duels appear.

Any ideas?
