SPM v. 0.7.25 is now available

Hello all,

Just a quick post to let you know that the latest update for SPM (0.7.25) is now available through the game's launcher and includes a couple of bugfixes we made during the weekend. Please check the changelog in order to find more details.

We're already working on version 0.7.26, I'll post a progress report with some screenshots in the next few days.

Great but unfortunately the updater has never been working for me!!! [:D]

Everytime a new version has been detected by the updater it finally ended with the following message:

Error
Unable to download File
An error occurred while trying to open an FTP File.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I would also like to get the latest version.

Hello guys,

There are a few things you can do. Firstly please try temporarily disabling your anti-virus/anti-malware software while you are trying to update in case these are interfering. If this does not work, then you need to ensure that the update.exe file is allowed in your firewall, and create an exception if it isn't.

If these fail, and you have the capacity, please try downloading the update via a different network connection, e.g. a friend's or relative's, as there may be IP filtering or router settings which are blocking the update file. If you continue to have problems, please contact us at Support@Slitherine.co.uk and we will try some other things.

Problem for me was not that updater didn't connect. Just that it did update something and after that updater gives "abnormal program termination" when I tried to relaunch it. I'll try to re-install and see if that helps.

Managed to fix updater aborting issue by downloading updater fix found above on this forum. And I found out I can also get latest version via Matrix site Member's Club registered game downloads.

I'm done trying to download this update, tried 4 times, get within a couple of minutes of completely downloading it, and I get an error message that says can't download the file from the server. Sick of it. If this updater doesn't have a resume function, what the hell good is it? I'll wait for the cd to come in the mail, this isn't worth the hassle anymore, sadly

Can you try the updater patch from this link? Let me know if it doesn't work and I'll find another way to help you. Don't wait for the CD to arrive, there's lots of cool things coming in the next patch [:)]
