Hetzer's School of Unsportsmanlike Conduct

Post by GROND »

This thread is gonna be for victories/losses only. If we (sigh...I)ever start recording stats for people it's good to have only one place to track such things down.

That being said it wasn't a bad weekend for a feeble old drain bamaged personage :)

Gmrextreme, Cyhavn, and Blood Angel (twice) with only a loss to Blood Angel.

As always if you guys have any questions on battle tactics, design etc... I'm always glad to be of help. Just remember that the quizes on what you've learned will be graded pass/fail basis only :p

Fri night Tdybr came hunting me. After hours and hours of running in terror and fright Tdybr tripped over one of my stray Gauss rounds and lost his head :) (he was driving a Crumbler and I was driving a LegBreaker)

Panting and gasping for breath I thought that my nightmare was over but no.......stopping only long enough to swap Titans (him into a PunchDrunk and me into my faithful Goon) we entered into another hellish (curse you Rosary) battle. This time it was I who was forced to bring the battle to him as he planted himself high on top of a tombstoned hill and started to rain down Plasma bolts upon your humble author (I'm posting here, if you didn't bring hip waders it's your own dam fault). Fortunately there was a dry river bed for me to use to cover my approach (here Igor this should help with the blisters on your hands). I chose to make my last desperate stand in a hilly cemetary and commended my fate to.......(am not telling). At this point Tdybr started complaining about the odds (hey, 20% should be enough for anybody) and decided to charge boldly into my cannons (yum, cannons.......pretty). An unfortunate dodge into an AC20 round took out his CT and left me shaken but alive.

Will no one show mercy to a sique, tired old man? Is a little pity too much to ask? (shadap) Is there no peace to be had for me? (massed violins)

Stayed tuned for next weeks episode of "As the Head Bounces" and now a word from our sponsor.........

Offered Tdybr a chance for revenge on Sun and he almost took it :(

Polar with me in a Hoodlums (2 AC20/1AC12) him in a Thug (too many AC12s).

I had the game well in hand, had just blown out his LT while the rest of his armor was still green and the game dropped :(

1000 seconds later with my LA/RA/RL red and my HD/CT/LO/LT yellow I blew out his LT again :p

Am tired person, need to nap now :(

That's what happens when you get old. The faces of your victims just blend together in one undifferentiated mass.

Waddaya Mean Victims?

People who come hunting in Assault Titans with mayhem in their hearts and murder on their minds don't exactly strike me as victims. And most especially people who go out of their way to try and gun down a gentle peaceful soul like myself.

Victims you say? Here I am, a solitary old person just trying to live out the rest of his life in harmony and quiet solitude. Do I invade other peoples arenas? Do I set fire to other peoples carefully tended Lava Beds? Have you ever known me to barge in and kick a hole in someone elses Acid Bath? I'm an old, weak and weary person beset by bloodthirsty invaders, the victim here, Tear-in-and-rend-some-more, is obviously me.

And here I thought that we were friends :(

Did I say victims? I meant vicious aggressors. :-)

I know they all come after you. You would never start a fight with someone. ;)

Well (blushes) I may.........have............possibly.............once or twice..........but only under the gravest of all possible provocations...............called someone a Low Bellied, Yellow Down, Four-Timing, Two Flusher (winces) but just because I happened to be looking at you Taren at that time is no reason for you to have taken it personally.

Really....... (you can trust me)....... ask around. I'm a changed man, honest. I just sit quietly at home in my rocking chair. On a big day I might even rock a little bit. Look, I know that in the past I might have done things that I'm not proud to look back upon but Taren, if you don't believe me just come for a visit, look around and satisfy yourself that I'd Never lie to you.

Played Blood Angel two games on Tuesday night.

1st game was recons in hell :)
me in a wrathchild and Blood Angel in a Will-O-Wisp (see I do to drive other peoples titans, just not their assaults :)
Game was very very close until Blood Angel overloaded his heat reg and caused both his ac4 and gm4 ammo to explode . Let this be a lesson to all you n00bs WATCH YOUR HEAT.

2nd game was way to hard on an old mans nerves :(
I had a Abnegator (4SRM8s/3SRM4s/LL/2SML/Shield5 and really really good armor) He had a Moljnir (2PBs/2Teslas/pulse) again in hell. I spent the climax of the game getting knocked down, almost getting up, getting knocked down etc... until at the very end I managed to stand and fired everything that I had left at him. My last srm8 wiped out his RT (and he made the skill check) My last srm4 took out his LL and in falling his LT went (long, slow, heavy and heartfelt sigh of relief). I had to drop my shield to be able to keep firing srms from my arms to keep wearing him down so this win was pure dumb luck on my part. I had his RT/LT/CT/LL/LA red the 1st time I fell and by the last time I fell I thought that i was dead meat. Great Great game Blood Angel.

Now Mikey, about that dinner invite.............

Sat afternoon dueled with LobSteve and Cyvhan vs me and AI.

Set AI to level 7 and it spent the whole game Not firing it's Tesla (well twice). Then it ejected leaving me alone with two of the best up and comers in the game right now :(

Fortunately for me LobSteve kept hitting my AC20 rounds with his chin so i was able to sneak up behind Cyvahn and let my Mugger live up to it's name. AI had a Howler (2clgs/tesla/2LLs/3smls). Cyvahn was in a Hoodlum (Mugger with an AC12) and LobSteve in a WidowMaker (2pbs/3pulse and something or other).

2 PGs, 3 PLs, 1ML and 2(or was it 3?) SLs. And I only really used the PGs due to range constrictions.

And just for the record Hetz only got two lucky headshots in. Mind you that's all he needed.

By the way, we all have to chip in and get Cyavhn a compass for Christmas. ;)
Just kidding C.

Yes, I would very much appreciate that Christmas present. It happened twice, but the second time had more serious consequences. Still, I think we had Hetzer pretty close. The less you see of him is because he`s hiding, and the more worried he is.

Dueled Blood Angel with a MindFlayer (2PBs/3NBs) vs his DeathDealer (2PBs/2Tesla) and got outmaneuvered :( and took 3 PBs to the head :( fortunately it takes 4 PBs to the head to kill me :) Finally Pureed his jock, but Blood Angel played an almost flawless game. I just got lucky with a couple of NB shots. If he hadn't got knocked unconcious twice my head would be on his mantle right now. You guys are making me work waaaaay too hard, am not up to this anymore ............(well, cept when I win)

Woke up waaaaay too early this A.M. but finally got to meet Titan Fodder. We played a game in classic at my house with me driving a LegBreaker (3 gauss/2 pulse) and him in a MindFlayer. Fortunately for me the LegBreaker has a shield 4:p The 1st 4 of 5 gauss rounds to the head could also have had something to do with why he didn't hit me more often <grin>

T.F. you played a really sound game with no weaknesses for me to exploit but try the "firing on heat black" thing that you saw me do, it makes a huge difference. ToS is a game of millimeters and you have to exploit every percentage point.

(Weak and weary old man looks at overcrowded mantlepiece, shrugs, and gently sets Titan Fodders head on top of Touringdelicycle's)

Hey, not on my head! My head should be in a place of honor on your wall or something.

Just you wait until I get back...
