I have created a new map from a different area and a different landscape.

This is a map of the actual hight, most of this area is below see-level and a sort of drained wetland.

And the dike of "Amsterdan Rijnkanaal" belong to "dijkring 14", braking this dike will put a great part of holland underwater.

The map itself was a challenge, how to implement the nature of this area.
Most of this is grassland, water or urban area.

Water or urban area was not a problem.

But grassland from this area can be a challenge.

This almost of water.

This give me 3 types of grassland.
normal type, very small [green/blue] canal around the hex, Mobility Hindrange 5.
challenging type, small [blue] canal around the hex, Mobility Hindrange 7.
imposable type, medium [blue] canal around the hex, Mobility Hindrange 9.

The background of the hex-tiles below see level have a different [more blue] structure, Elevation 1. the rest Elevation 2 but the background of elevation 1, for a creation of a level 0.

This map is made of a original version around 1990.

I'm looking at that superb map and thinking "No wonder BMPs are shaped like boats" :)

The terrain originally was prepared to be flooded and form a Dutch defense line - the WaterLinie.

Is making a WWII campaign of this including a working waterlinie a (good or bad) idea?

The game scale is off for WWII at the moment but there is nothing keeping you from experimenting.
