Routed Units

Post by IronMikeGolf »

Unit's morale drops low enough, it will abandon its previous orders and execute a Move Hasty and move out of the current hex.

What I have observed is a broken unit will sometimes retreat towards the enemy.

It will even do this if it is breaching, leaving the obstacle/minefield intact.

Routed units should retreat away from enemy. In the case mines and obstacles, they should retreat via the same hexside they entered.

Jeff, can you get me a screen shot showing the retreat action toward an enemy. We have not seen it do that in a long time. Thanks.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

Of course, a lot depends on how you define "towards enemy".

Here's one where an MRC routing to the other side of the minefield. It ends up closer to the center of mass of the defending company. It will end up a hex that should put it unspotted by enemy it knows about.

My beef is they are retreating along their frontal arc. In fact, the are going straight ahead. And suffer no addition mine attack.
