The Shadows On Snowy Maps

Don't mean to seem negative, but to me the 'pinkish' shadows cast all over the maps that contain snow look very out of place. I don't own BA2 yet, but I wonder why a softer bluish/grey was not used? Even the maps without snow portray shadows with the pink/peach hue. Is it just me or do they in fact strike others as a little too unrealistic?

i have no idea what colour the shadows are in that part of the world tbh, when i was in finland in winter, the sun was very low and did give off funny colours to the shadows and ground, and all around tbh, so have no idea if it's correct or not, but to me it's looks more brown than pink, but i for one like the effect and it's pleasing to the eye, and i'm sure there will be a setting somewhere to alter it, turn it off, or even alter the colour code somewhere in the coding, might be a modders job, as the rest has been done and modders do like to tinker

from what i can find with google searches, the color of shadows in russia can be green or blue even for the winter months, so pinky brown isn't that bad tbh, it depends a lot on the northern lights, where you are, the time of year, the place of the sun in the sky, the atmosphere etc, so any combination of any, would give off a different hue

This is by design. This is the kind of lighting you can get at sunset/sun rise. If I remember correctly lighting is set on a per mission basis so varies from mission to mission.
