Possible weapons upgrade issue when sending ships back.

I've noticed that when I send a ship back sometimes a certain weapon will not be upgraded once it arrives in Pearl Harbour.

It seems that whilst AA guns all work fine it seems that certain types of destroyers with 2 sets of depth charges will only have one set upgraded.

Specifically only the R facing ones (I assume rear?) which usually number 2 will be updated to the latest but those facing C (got me, where's that!) which tend to number more (and therefore appear more important) don't get touched.

Similarly it seems my DM's are not upgrading either, they all still have Mk 6 stuck to them when DD's have been upgrading to Mk 7/ml.

An example:
DD Wilkes was sent back with whatever it starts with, the 6 C placed charges remained at Mk 6 whilst the R placed ones upgraded to Mk 7/ml.

Given that we know almost nothing about what upgrades are available for which weapons and when they become available this may or may not be an issue - I'm well aware that it could be intentional.

I believe the upgrade paths are hard coded. They are also very limited, only altering ASW and AAW on a simple level. K gun additions, 40mm retrofits (ie, on ships which never mounted 1.1" AA), emergency AA mods requiring surface ordnance be replaced by augmented AA batteries, radar improvements/installaltion etc are not hard coded and do not upgrade. At this point, anyway...
