XLS files and Hexdraw

Post by Bipman »

Hi

Couldn't find my answers in the search so a couple of questions :-

1.) In the 'Data/British' directory there are two XLS files, British.xls (protected) and British-USER.xls. If I edit the non protected one, will that add the equipment to the list of choosable weapons (say if I wanted to add some Falklands War data) ?

2.) Is there a way of editing/designing maps without having to buy Hexdraw ?

You can add, copy, or modify the User xls file. Just load your modified file when you are in the scenario editor.

The map is just a picture. As long as you make a map that uses the hex sizing, you can then use the map values editor to create the FP9 file the game engine needs.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
