You need to use the -px and -py switches in the game shortcut.

ORIGINAL: gifty

Does not work command line is "E:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\autorun.exe" -f-px1600-py900 also tried direct to the .exe "E:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -f-px1600-py900

You need spaces between each switch.

This is mine: -altFont -multiaudio -archive -dd_sw -cpu4 -fd -px1680 -py1050

You also have to determine if your laptop can run in whatever rez you choose.

coupla-three suggestions:

- replace the <autorun.exe> w/ <War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe>, that is, point your shortcut to the quickstart, not the game menu. There must be a space-character in front of each hyphen-character in those command-line switches, & they must be hyphens, not dashes.
"E:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -f -px1600 -py900

- the 1600x900 format must be supported by your monitor, check its allowable screen-resolution list.

- the original game release did not support the screen-size switches. Check to see if your game is upgraded to the 'latest official patch' (1108r9) or 'latest beta' (1123x10) version.
