Can not get the e manual to load from start screen

Ok I start the game, I get to the main screen that lists as options start the game, tutorials, players handbook, game manual, editors manual.

I click on game manual and nothing happens same with players handbook and editors handbook.

Just to be sure I had up to date reader I loaded the reader. It said it was installed after loading it, I still get nothing when I click on manuals not even a blank page just nothing happens.

Can I load the manual from the directory directly? If so I will just do that.

Yes - just open from the manuals folder.

Thanks for some reason I never got War in the East to run on my old computer and haven't tried on the new one, the game seems to run at least the air turn started no problem just didn't know what to do.

Not sure why I have such problems with opening manuals from matrix.

WITE works fine on 8.1 with no alterations needed, works straight from launch and updates fine...

and none are needed in windows 8.1 as it's already has one built it

as your from the US, you will have the normal version of win 8.1 so will work out of the box for pdf files unless you have altered it and done given a default to something else,

Windows 8.1 for Emerging Markets and RT version may not work, same as embedded as these aren't core versions..

That was my problem. Adobe was not working at all but as soon as I changed to default it worked, now the only problem is how to get back out of reader. I had to cntrl alt delete and close the box at the bottom of the desktop.

goto the top left hand side of the screen and right click close, that should close that window for you, as long as you haven't altered the defaults that is [;)]

to get adobe back working just re download it and install that, then that will be the default one if you want to use it, as a reinstall will do a repair
