Tips regarding directives for Germans in Italy

Post by tiger111 »

Any advice on how to play the air war in Italy as Germans?

In terms of Air Directive settings.

Thanks

Play very defensive. I'm not an expert on the German side, but when I've played them I had only GS directives for Air HQ's in Italy and Germany. One that creates more interdiction opportunities at sea, conserves your planes, and they will intercept allied missions even without an air directive.

You may want to go after the ships in the Allied TFs.

meklore61 is right. The only thing I might add is keep your planes back a little. Allies will attack all of your forward airfields. Allied fighters don't have a lot of range so hopefully if they are reaching for your airfields they don't have any escort.
