Victory Points in Intro Air scenario?

I'm confused about how VPs are tallied in the Intro Air scenario. I've read the manual, and it says points are scored for bombing damage to oil, HI, etc, and then Allied air losses are subtracted from the strategic bombing total. But the numbers on my victory screen don't seem to add up.

Also, is there a more finely-detailed breakdown of what exactly generated how many VPs? The graph screen doesn't really offer more detail.

Here's an example of my VP screen. I'm on turn 2. Can someone help me make sense of how the numbers add up, and whether there's more detail anywhere?

i just finished turn 4 with 35082 turn pts and 1018 game total, and it gave me a minor victory

The turn score does indeed seem to be screwed up somehow. The total score seems to correct at the end of the game, but I'm not sure why it's not adding up sometimes during the game. We'll take a closer look at this. This was changed a few weeks before release and it's a different scoring system from the other scenarios and campaigns. Thanks for the report.

Thanks for looking into it. It's not a big deal, as this scenario is presumably intended as a training vehicle. It's doing that job well: I've spent lots of time poring over the strategic-bombing sections of the manual.
