East Front Progress Line?

Post by jzardos »

After read the section 23 in the manual, I still can't figure out how to see the EF progress line? The map interface doesn't allow me to scroll over to the east far enough. What am I doing wrong? Would be nice to see this and there has to be a way.

thanks

You will not see the East front entering the map before it has (numerically) advanced at least 12-13 hexes.
Of course, you shall have "enemy hexes" on.

really? Why is that (at least 12-13 hex adv)? Will I see it on large map when zoomed out? Because I can't scroll all the way east in map interface.

thanks

Looking at the East Front screen, you will see a line named "Front line hex", that at the start of Campaign 43 shows a value of 230.
This indicates (roughly) the column at which the average front lies.
From turn to turn you will see the "front line hex" value decrease, indicating the advance of the Red Army.
The start line is outside of the map, and the front will appear when the "front line hex" is about 217.

What does a negative Sov potential mean? That they won't kick my ass as much next turn? Tired from kicking my ass previous turn? [:(]

Lost almost 1,000 tanks on east front in 4 turns. yikes. Guess I need to send stuff east. Haven't touched it yet.

Both true, they have completed an offensive and are recovering forces ... yet it's still possible they they advance if *your* potential is too low.
Try to put in "refit" the most damaged units, without lowering too much your Combat Value.
