The steps in the AI's turn...

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

The steps in the AI's turn...

Post by bushybonbon »

I see the list of various AI actions it's taking as it processes it's turn, e.g. occupy front line occupy secondary line, etc...Is there an inclusive caption of all the items in that list? They tend to scroll by fairly quickly on my machine!

Thanks!

The purpose of the AI scroll list is mainly to show that AI is not snoozing and if she does you could guess what she is dreaming of. In fact most of the items named after the internal functions. It may turn into something more descriptive and saved into the log in the future.

Yeah, that's what I'd be interested in - getting that list of functions that the ai is going through... can you enable a debug mode to get that type of info dumped out?

Theoretically it is possible, but current game event log is quite limited and it might get full quite fast. We need to make another export mechanism. Probably similar to the battle dump.

Not really fighting, but trying to look smart in the cruel binary world. [;)]
