Some Air Questions

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Some Air Questions

Post by Dereck »

1. My operational losses are very high. What are the causes for operational losses in WITW?

2. I'm moving my air units forward now that the fighting is in Italy. I would like to reassign the HQ for the bases in North Africa. What air HQ would be considered a "rear" air HQ now where I could assign these to?

I know it may not be necessary but I would just like to have my active air HQs show active bases.

Thanks

Allied bases I think would be med allied air force that's the top command in the med for airbases

Dereck, if I understand you right you want empty airbases to not have a line traced to them when you click on an air HQ. I usually have empty airbases for Allies point to a top level HQ that doesn't have any air units assigned directly. I routinely change a base to that when I move the last plane out.
