Question about resource shipments

Post by Grotius »

I notice that the logistics system ships resources to even small captured towns in Sicily. I think this is because the towns have railyards, and railyards consume resources (coal) to keep the choo-choo trains running. Is that the reason?

A related question: what material is necessary to repair railyards, ports, and other factories? Is it freight, resources, supply, or what?

Thanks in advance.
