Air Advice

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Air Advice

Post by Dereck »

I have the 8th US Air Force conducting strategic bombing and it currently has all the European USAAF fighter groups (7 total).

I also moved the US medium bomber groups into the 9th USAAF so I can conduct tactical bombing in France.

My question is how many fighter groups should I have in the 8th to conduct escort operations and how many could I be able to spare to send to the 9th for ground attack, etc?

Thanks
