problems with patch and misc.

I am currently away from home where my game works perfectly. I am trying to get everything set up on a new computer and things just don't seem to want to work. I downloaded and unzipped the 3.4 patch, but it won't show up when I start the game. It still shows version 3.0 I also cannot see the new scenarios that came with the patch. To make matters worse, I can't open the Opart 3xBb. It gives me a message code 2, something to do with not having entered the serial # correctly?? I am not exactly computer literate, so this is all very painful to figure out. I would really appreciate some laymen term help

I've always had to load 3.0, then install the other updates in succession. 3.0.017, 3.1.09, 3.2.29.27, then 3.4.202. Maybe you can try this method ?

I'd do it as Steve suggested, get all the patches and step by step.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. I am getting them all from the beginning. Do they have to go into a specific folder when I unzip them?

You don't have to unzip them to a specific folder. When you run the updates, they should all go to the same target [C/Prgram Files/Matrix ...].

I did put them all in the same folder, and then burned them to disc. No more searching around for them !
