Another probably silly question

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Another probably silly question

How can I tell where this airfield attack took place on the map. Nothing is highlighted that I can see and hovering over the target icon is pointless as you get no map information.

If you look to the left of the program version number, you will see 149,292. That's the hex number, if that's what your asking.

It also say the name of the city/af - Ponte Olivo.

In fact it tries to make the selected raid site to look bolder, but I agree it is hard to see. Otherwise if you close the battle site and switch to normal mode (F1), map should be centering around the last displayed battle hex (149,292).

It does say which hex but to find that hex you have to close the window, switch to F1 before the map hover will show the hex you are hovering over. The battle map hover does not provide this info.

It does say Ponte Olivo but that is only useful if you know where Ponte Olivo is. The name Ponte Olivo is not visible on the battle pic I supplied. Even on max zoon all you can see of the name is - the rest is obscured by unit icon and battle icons. Even hiding the unit still only reveals 'Pont'

Yes you can go out of the battle screen but you should not need to, I don't mind micromanaging but I sure don't like clicking for the sake of clicking.

Fix is obviously to provide a better highlighting and include the hex in battle hover.
