Supply bugs

Post by Twisted1 »

OK, started a new Barbarossa scenario using Teamviewer (love it!) against a friend of mine from Florida.
I think we found a supply bug but want to post it her to see if I am crazy or not.

A little recap first:

I am the Germans. Army group North and Center are doing very well. Through turn 2, and I am at the gates of Leningrad
and there is only one Russian unit between me and Moscow. Army Group South, on the other hand, has not even gotten off
the starting line except taking Odessa (and this, by accident). Because of AGS lack of effort in attacking, I have had
to send AGC into the rear of the Russians facing AGS. This was successful. Huge pocket of Russian units I THOUGHT were
surrounded and out of supply. All ports taken and the only city in the packet is Chișinãu1. Inside the pocket was an
amour, mech, and mot. armies, as well as others. APPERANTLY, they were not out of supply as I thought. During turn two,
these unit kills the Rumanian HQ I left out in the open in the back and was ABLE TO CONQURE RUMANIAN BECAUSE OF AN OPEN
CAPITAL!!!!! [:@]

Now I checked where these units were supposedly getting supply from, and it stated that that the Russian HQ Zhukov, that
was just a little SW of Moscow, over 15 hexes away!!!

Needless to say, I am not happy about the current situation.

Is this a bug that has already been reported? Is it even a bug? I thought Chișinãu1 was not a primary supply source
for the Russians. It did not show up on the list.

Any thoughts?

On the plains of hesitation lie the blackened bones of countless millions who at the dawn of victory lay down to rest, and in resting died.

USSR start with Bessarabia and all cities there are home cities of USSR

Rumania allows the claim
If Rumania allows the claim, it stays neutral and Bessarabia becomes part of the USSR for all purposes until the USSR controls no hex in Bessarabia. At that point, Bessarabia again becomes part of Rumania. The USSR can not declare war on Rumania until the USSR is at war with Germany.

It should have shown Chisinau as the supply source, but otherwise, no bug. The piece status dots should have indicated those units were all still in supply.

Paulderynck, the pieces were correct. They did not have the out of supply dot. I was just not looking for it. Assumed too much. Poor Rumania.
