No 1000pt vp loss for beachead

Post by Belphegor »

It's now July 1, 1944.
Server game against Pelton and it looks like I've only got 9 hexes of the required 10. But I didn't lose the 1000 points. Would someone be able to take a look before we continue to play the turn please and thanks?

edit: There's some debate about whether mainland France is counted in the 'north of hexrow 215' requirement or if it is specific to Northern Europe. To be clear, I'm hoping it does only apply to Northern Europe as I have a mainland France southern invasion.

This may be confusing in the rules, but your game is WAD. The Allies just need to control 10 hexes either in mainland France (Corsica doesn't count) or Northern Europe (which is all areas north of row 215). In your game, you do have enough when counting the north and south areas in France.

In looking at your game, I didn't see any land hex interdiction in France. Are you flying regular interdiction missions with the Tac air forces?

Thanks.

It's entirely likely I wasn't that turn. For reasons unremembered to me. I messed up air turn pretty badly in the name of the learning game. I'm being taught what not to do certainly. [:D]

And no apologies. I'm doing horribly and it's made worse against a good player but for a learning game it has been fantastic.

No worries, as long as you're having fun (and/or learning).
