Cancel Amphib Prep

I had the HQ and some units prepping but I no longer need them to prep for anything. Is there a way to cancel the prep totally or is there any harm in having these units continue to prep for a beach they will never land at?

Move the units 1 hex, and i think that cancels the preparation.

Both the HQ and units have moved on to different hexes and the Prep still shows active. Seemed odd to me.

Move them off of ports. As long as a unit ends the turn in a port it will keep its current Prep rating - or increase it if a Naval Amphib unit is present.

Keep the prep points if there is any chance of invading from your current position. You don't lose all the points if you change target.
