10000 Trucks?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

10000 Trucks?

Post by Dante Fierro »

I am thoroughly enjoying and taking my time looking over all the different interface tools, units, airbases, rails and ports and beach front properties in the game. WitW is a grognard version of Fantasy Island.

But I am curious, I have the Husky Intro Scenario open, and looking at level 4 depots, I see 10000 trucks listed. I'm just wondering, was that actually the case in WWII? i.e. 10000 transport vehicles per a supply dump area? The tonnage seems realistic to me, but that many vehicles?
