AAR: What Damage We Can

Spoiler Alert: A good, challenging scenario. I initially sent all my helos searching to the west, and with the default ASW ordnance - a mistake!. Contact was gained with an AEW Helix which was splashed by USS MCCAMPBELL, an ARLIEGH BURKE FLT IIA DDG (the kind without HARPOONS) . At this point, I figured I was targeted and decided to light off radars and OECM. Helos pinpoints four contacts, only one was confirmed hostile but I know an ambush when I see one, LCS TULSA engaged with 8 NSMs (currently fictive ordnance) on four of the targets, three of which were confirmed to be near the hostile contact and and appeared to be in formation, resulting in at least two and possibly three kills. Multiple waves of ASMS were then defeated by the USS MCCAMPBELL. I was out of SSM, and decided to change doctrine and use SAM's as SSM's. MCCAMPBELL crushed LUYANG II DDG-170 with a salvo of 4 SM-III's, and then took out another ship, probably a corvette, with another salvo of 2 SM-III's.I rearmed the helos with HELLFIRES, but it appears the PLA Navy forces had been completely annihilated and the extra effort was not required. This game suggested that an up-gunned LCS might be a useful platform for ASUW. A good, fast and challenging scenario...The Butcher's Bill is below:
