TF's retain PP after med move.

Post by marion61 »

I'm not sure what to make of this, but I'll throw it out there. This is a server game with Peltonx. On turn one when I moved most of my unit's, including all but one TF from the Med to England, the TF's themselves retained two turns worth of APP's once I got them into ports. This gave me two extra turns that I didn't have to wait for my TF's to have 50 APP to invade. Those TF's were at sea a whole turn, and I'm not sure if this is WAD. I read thru the manual, but I couldn't find anything that says yay or nay to the TF's retaining APP's. None of the combat units retained theirs, but I did get to invade on the 1st week of September turn instead of two turns later (or one). Since the weather goes to **** in October usually in Northern France, those two or one extra turn is crucial. I'm holding off doing the turn for now till we know. If I win, it won't be thru cheese!

It says something somewhere in the manual that if you can move your transports from port to port they keep their accumulated planning points. Although when you go from Med to Atlantic, you don't end up in a port, do you.

No, the rule says you have to be in a port during the logistics phase end to not lose APP's. No way you can do that moving from ports in the med to england. You have to miss one logistics phase, except that there is no logistics phase on turn one, I wonder if that could be why?
