Mines?

Post by Capt Cliff »

Is there anyway to make mines less deadly? Say mine layer can only resupply in a size 7 port like BB ammo?

I laid 1000 mines at Lunga and Tulagi an slaughtered the IJN fleet. I left PT boats at each location and DMS's won't sweep if enemy fleets are present.

A little confused by your post.

Sounds like you trying to sweep your own fields?

The game won't allow you to do that.

Fields laid at locales with no ACM support will deteriorate own their own.

Fields that large will take quite some time to completely decay.

You can probably edit the mines to make them less powerful and resave the scenario under a different number.

Other players more commensurate with the editor will be able to provide better advice regarding it.

You could edit the number of mines created in a new scenario and restart. You could also delete the minelayers.

Getting 1000 mines in one spot like that must have left few for elsewhere. I am not sure how big the naval base has to be to rearm mines but it does have to be a certain size.
