Game crashes during German logistic turn

Hey folks.
Just bought the game due the Easter Sale from Slitherine. However, I am disappointed so far. I installed the game and updated it to the (recent) version 1.021. While I start a match against the AI in the 1943 scenario, the game will crash during the German logistic phase (moving ressources to pool).
Hope anybody could help me to get the game running.

Does it really crash or just don't seem to respond over some time?
The initial turn supply calculations may take longer than usual, just be patient and wait.

One of the common issues is sound driver compatibility with directx used in the game. I never seen such crashes reported during logistics, but you can try to disable sounds. Rename \dat\sound to \dat\nosound

In case it keeps crashing you may upload save file and dxdiag output.

Hey.

Ok. The problem is solved. Denniss was right. It came a message, the system would not respond. However I kept the game running for a while (during dinner ^^) and when I came back to the PC the finished the logistic phase. With the next turn it was better. Thanks so far and sorry for being so unpatient. =)

You can try a shorter scenario at first and it should be a lot faster.
