Center on current unit option does not toggle

Center on current unit option does not toggle

In the options menu, there is an option to "Center on current unit" with the Enter key.

I have clicked this option multiple times, but clicking on a unit always centers the screen on that unit. Is this option not working? I would like to have this option as a toggle, so I can turn it off. So, when I click on a unit, I don't want the screen to center on that unit.

Is it supposed to work that way, but it's just not working correctly?
