Red non-activation circles not showing

Post by Ironclad »

Are the circles not appearing because I have crossed late activation on the setup? Although I haven't played many turns (in a couple of scenarios), I'm operating at a high enough difficulty level and in the Bull Run standard scenario I have had the units opposite the stone bridge remain on 0 movement points after a new turn has been triggered and none of my units anywhere in either scenario has appeared with the red circle.

Hi Ironclad,

I'll leave answer to staff but one question they may have is if you checked the end turn activation box when setting up the game,

* “Option: End of Turn Activation Failure”: Players have the option of
having the division-activation check done at the beginning or end of the
turn. If toggled on, you will take your turn without knowing whether the
units in a division will be able to follow the movement orders issued to
them. If toggled off, you will know immediately which units cannot be
moved around and issued new orders that turn.

Ironclad, in the standard scenario several Union units start "locked" for 120', maybe is this the case?

Thanks that was done which is what I meant by crossing the late activation on the setup.

What you want to know can be found on pg. 42 of the manual: the pink circles are for units in a division that failed their activation check and therefore didn't move.
