Ok, you guys think you are hot stuff … the lead boat of the type; 1000 GrT, 64m Loa, built April 1929, ‘enlisted’ October 1938. Original owners Gomei Kaisha Amasaki Kisembu.

What is the “type”, and for a shoot load of extra credit, what is the ship?

Oh, yes, Its a signifigant vessel in the WiTP/AE game system.[8D]

Something looks wrong here as the image depicts a much bigger ship => SHOSEI MARU 3,580 GRT ,completed 29 Nov '38. See it here: http://www.geocities.jp/tokusetsukansen ... 10TOP2.htm

What say you, John?

Gilbert

Sorry, meant SHOEI (not SHOSEI MARU)

Good call Gilbert, but yeah, that's the pic I was trying to snag. Don't know why it turned out different. It really is supposed to be Shosei (not Shoei) Maru, 998 GRT, 64m Lpp, launched 25 April, 1929 by Gomei Kaisha.

P-1 on the Navy list for Tokusetsu Hokan patrol gunboats. Has the silhouette of the game's Ansyu class. M-m had it wired. The give away was "lead boat of the type". Darn, you guys are getting to know my methods too well. Gonna have to get innovative. JWE

At least you are not showing pics of a P40 and asking to identify it as I have nearly done.[;)]
