Split unit morale hit

I think there is an oversight when you split the units, after split your regiment it suffers a 0.25 morale hit, but when you regroup it never recover the morale lost.
Therefore if you split and regroup several times the morale is continuing to drop until 0.

Question: does the split unit recover his morale like its parent level?
I.e. if I have a unit with 3.50 quality and I split it, the new units are 3.25, is there a way to restore the morale to 3.50 even if split?

I am wondering about this "feature" too. Merging the unit back or urge order has no effects for regaining its morale.

I made a quick test, split units never recover the morale lost even if you use "Urge Unit" button or "Rally" brigade order, the brigade leader was one/two hexes from the units.
In fact you are permanent losing the morale...

I'll eliminate the lowered morale for splitting units in the next patch. I cannot remember why we had that rule in the first place.
